Just doing my job

We would all like to think we make a difference when we go out of our way to do something for someone else. It's good for the soul.
My job is to try to make a difference every day.
Sometimes I think I do, and sometimes I'm not so sure.
When I started blogging about Trappe I did so because I thought what I had heard was going on was just plain wrong.
I don't know if Mark Carrig resigned because we started putting pressure on him to do so or if he was just waiting to sell his house in Trappe.
I don't know if Stewart Strauss wasn't appointed to the seat left vacant by Carrig because I uncovered what was going to happen before he was able to pull off his coup d'etat, or he just decided he didn't want to play the political game any more.
I might never know.
I am certain of one thing, though. I was just doing my job bringing these things to light, but I would like to think I made a difference.

Your bosses pulled you string Stan. You are nothing but a political puppet for Marino , Kane, Stagliano, Bender, the rest of the Trusted Team in Trappe. Someone has to supplement your income. If you want to publish a one sided story bring your money over to the Times Herald and Stan Husky will publish it for a fee.
When your buddies make the news soon I hope you do not run and hide you are part of them.

Seriously, who are you? I wouldn't know these people from Adam. How many times do I have to say that? And as far as publishing stories for money, you obviously don't know me either. However, if you would like to come down to the paper I'd be more than happy to discuss it with you in person.

Stan
You have a very big ego.How much power do you think you have.If I was in power politically I would listen to your one sided blog. You do not publish half of the comments written to you.
By the way since you care about Trappe so much ,you personally attended the Trappe Council Meeting didn't you? If not I agree with others you are one sided against the current Council Members and maybe the precious writer is right Marino and his chornies pull your string.

Stan, thanks for telling the truth and telling it like it is! I can only imagine that the person who is accusing you of some political covert conspiracy is the same short sight individual who writes a fictitious blog that no one can reply to. Either that or it is some knucklehead who doesn't like anyone in Trappe. Who is this strange person anyway?

If nothing else Stan, I believe you put the final nail in "Craig Marks" blogging career ! Sorta funny how while in the midst of a write in campaign, there were 1-2 new posts a day from Mr. Marks and now after being soundly defeated we have heard na'ry a peep from him. (Perhaps he considers one post since the election an active blog, i don't) I guess it was just coincidence that his blog was so active during the election.....His blog had no affiliation whatsoever with Stu Strauss' failed write-in campaign......YEAH RIGHT !!

Give me a break...there is always two sides of a story...what is yours anonymous? Trappe is a great place, but there are many from outside the area that are business men and they see a whole new view of the area. Speak up, get neighbors to listen to your story...and stop downing an Editor that publishes stories that makes all voters in the area take note of a situation that was in their best interest. You do subscribe and read the Times Herald right? Then you should know better than make a statement that appeared Dec.7...

The roll of the regional newspaper is to bring hidden or barely known things to light,

Minipulators in the world of politics can't stand the light of day.

Stan, Keep doing the job you do. Don't let the hot heads get to you. Freedom of the press will prevail.Thank GOD you are not political. And I am not a relative of yours.

Maybe everyone's anonymous because they can't spell their own names? Ashamed of their poor grammar, perhaps?

You're right on Billy D, it's just a shame that the written news print of today will soon be a thing of the past, taken over by the new medium. What will Stan and the rest of the crew be doing in five years? No more local issues will get to the eyes of the resident locals. Maybe that is a good thing, most people are better off with their heads in the sand or living under a pot.

since I can't find a blog that fits, I will comment here. I believe I read that when that 14 year old boy in Plymouth Township was going to shoot up a high school that he never attended, he was never identified in the Norristown Times Herald and I think you wrote a comment why he wasn't identified, although others felt he should be named. please clarify if I am incorrect.

You are up to your old tricks again refusing to put your comments by others ,protecting your buddies Marino and the newly elected Trusted Team from Trappe that will control Council in January. Check out www.pvpablogspot.com to follow their money trial.Trappe residents hold on to your pocketbooks in January. The Trusted Team has alot of favors to give out at your expense.

To the poster who asked about the teen from Plymouth who was allegedly planning a Columbine-style attack, you are correct. We chose not to publish his name because we do not publish names of teenagers if they are not charged as adults. It was a tough decision in this case because the boy's name and photograph were splashed all over broadcast media, but I believe we made the right decision then and I still do.

Stan
The reason you did not post the name of the Plymouth Twp. boy was you were paid off.

Stanley, Nice picture: Your getting better looking as you age.
Touch up the grey lad.

Stan, thank you for doing your job! Trappe will be a much happier town come January 1st! You have always, always told nothing but truth, (without any of the malice and shame shown here in this blog), in everything that you have written. We all know that!

Here's to Stan for getting both sides of every story! Happy New Year All!!

I disagree with the last commentor . The truth is Trappe will be a more broke borough starting in January. We will see how long the surplus last and see how much higher our taxes are going to go up once the Trusted Team gets their Police Department. The Trusted Team has alot of favors to hand out with the donations they received.Checkout www.pvpa.blogspot.com to follow their money trial.Alot of special interests will be happy once the Trusted Team comes to office in January but us residents are going to pay the price. The developers will be in charge again.

re: the teen and your standing by your decision not to publish his name. Why did you allow your reporter to publish the name of the 4 year old girl in that recent story? it didn't add anything to the report and she is a victim unlike the teen who was going to play shoot out at the school over being bullied.

Uh-oh, it looks as if ousted Trappe borough council president is trying to communicate again via the written word. I've got to give you a little credit Stu, you've come a long way in a short period of time when it comes to your writing ability, but don't sell yourself short on how much further you've got to go. Someday you'll make it up to perhaps a 5th grade level. January 7th can't come soon enough for me as a citizen of Trappe. I believe we'll finally see some forward progress in the way the borough is managed ! Good bye Stu....have a great life !!
