Quick update

Sorry, I've been a little behind the eight ball and haven't had much of a chance to post lately. I just want to give you an update on the alleged $11 mill found in Norristown since someone reminded me of it in a previous post.
I have an audited copy of the budget. I've also asked a very knowledgeable person to look it over and tell me what he thinks. As soon as I know, you'll know. Unless of course you know something I don't know.

The money is most likely in the Police Pension Fund, that will not be in the budget or the borough audit unless it has been consolidated.
.
You will need the audited copy of the police pension.

Stan,

I have been following the Bud's Bar story and really feel for the guy. The Village Commercial Committee in Lower Providence seems to be getting nowhere fast. I have sat in on most of the meetings and the disorganization is mind boggling. They can't even decide where allow Village Commercial Zoning in the Township.

Worst of all, I look around the table there and there are Engineers, County Planners and someone taking meeting minutes all on the Townships dime (probably alot more than a dime.) If you try to get the minutes later, they're unavailable.

Unavailable?!!

What are we paying for? What is Mr. DiPaolo trying to hide?

If you don't believe me, just call the Township.

Hey Frustrated, You must have been the shadow sitting in on the Village Commercial Committees meetings. Most of the visitors at the meetings have been the applicants looking to have there properties changed to V.C. It would be interesting to have a resident show up and voice their opinions. At the meeting of the 7th of Aug. there were two people in the audience. Looking around the table you will find nine volunteers,a county planner, a young lady taking minutes, a Township Supervisor the Township Code Enforcement Director, and Township Manager. Now how could Mr. DiPaolo hide anything from this crew? Finally, if you add fifteen cents to your dime, you may obtain one page of the minutes @ $.25 a page. Save your fustrations and volunteer for one of the boards and see how the other side works. P.S. What doe's this have to do with the original question?

I am a member of the VC committee who has been present at all these meetings that "Frustrated Friend" perceives to have attended. I have known every person in attendance for the last 5 or 5 meetings and frankly I doubt if you were even there, especially with an audience of 2 or 3 people. Why you are attacking this committee and Mr. DiPaolo in particular is beyond my comprehension. Could it be that you are bitter because you were not selected? Perhaps so...if indeed you have something intelligent to say, show up at the next meeting and say it. If not just keep quiet and let us non-paid representatives do thie work!

Stan, I,m not sure if this money exists or not, but don't you as a editor of a newspaper who is supposedly dedicated to airing the truth have an obligation to find out what is fact and what is rumor. We're talking about a HUGE amount of money, in a municipality that has for years talked about how financially broken they are. As a taxpayer I would like to know the truth. If money was hidden, why and by whom. If it is a nasty rumor, fine print that.
