Valley Forge Free For All

Where to start, folks. It's been a busy day at The Times Herald.
Slots were approved for the Valley Forge Convention Center, http://bit.ly/eq95H, and now we've just heard the judge has dismissed the case against the American Revolution Center.
Stay tuned.

Slots available directly across from the Valley Forge Natl. Park?? Well, this should add some thunder to the building of a Hotel, with Slots too, within throwing distance of the Park on Pawlings Road which remains in the plan for the American Revolution Center. I really need to stay health for the next 15 years to watch this play out. This additional possibility of Slots should make sparks fly and many more what ifs will be added to the race for Supervisor in LP- it should be interesting!

What type of Slots will we have - nickel or dime? As for the American Rev. Center - moving on to the next court, but 15 years maybe for the whole thing.

Waiting in LP said...

According to the papers, Judge Brody remanded the case back to Common Pleas Court for more hearings and hopefully an outcome in next millinum.

Do you really believe that Slots will improve the Valley Forge Convention Center? We do not need another way of spending our hard earned money when we go to these trade shows. The cost? Well, that is why we attend - it is usually reasonable.

Stan, Thank you for a great article in today's Times Herald by Mr. Rotenberg. The hiring of Mr. Cole was the best thing Mr. Lenfest could have done. Lower Providence got their open space, Philadelphia got an attraction that will fit in perfect with the surrounding attractions. Philadelphia has the means for a tourist to get to all these attractions, bus, train, plane etc.
The Lower Providence Manager estimated the township would miss out on up to $1 million a year in tax revenue (at what cost to the township)? The Arc should have gone in the park, then all the money people in King of Prussia would have been happy. When Mr. Dininny stated" When I knocked on doors in the township, I heard that people wanted it 9-1", must have been the family with 7 kids. The L.P. Supervisors have been fighting for open space, the feds have given it to us, "don't worrry,be Happy".
