Montco commissioner's chair gets a taste of his own medicine

There's not much more to say than what I said in my column this morning. It's getting such a great response that I thought I would post it here as well. Take a look and let me know what you think. Here's the link, http://bit.ly/b9aUOf. By the way, the first sentence isn't exactly accurate. I do have a few more things to say, that is if I need to, but I'm willing to let it end here.

Stan,

You're spot on, Matthews is out of control. How dare he attack you when he is the one who wasted millions of our tax payer dollars on who knows what. I do recall he hired a bunch of his buddies and friends at exorbitant salaries.

Something you missed is the bad advise Barry Miller has been giving the commissioner. Every time I read his name in the paper it is because of bad advise he has given Matthews, and as usual it cost the taxpayers big bucks. Since when does the solicitor for the county have so much say in county matters and 95% of it is bad advise. It is high time for Miller to take a hike. The Republican Committee will take care of Matthews in the spring but who will take care of Miller?

Way to go, Stan. That is why we have the freedom of the press to expose corruption.

Stan...

You have every right as a citizen and an editor of The Times Herald to reply to personal attacks from elected representatives and I praise your restraint in the process. Commissioner Matthew’s lack of leadership is an example of why the American people are voting out incumbents on all levels. Matthew’s is of course livid that he has been exposed over the years for all to see but he has only himself to blame.

What does being an editor have to do with your right to reply? You need to take some of your own medicine with some of the things you've allowed in your paper as an editor. Guilty until proven innocent is your way.
