Citizen journalism
Have you ever thought you have what it takes to do what we do? Or maybe, you think you can do it better than we do it! We're kicking around the idea of bringing in a group of people to talk about citizen journalism, which basically is defined as journalism in the hands of every day citizens. While that is a scary concept for a hardcore journalist to accept, we're not talking about bringing in people to do investigative journalism, we're talking about having a troop of citizens looking out for news in their neighborhoods, kind of a rookie journalist who has more will power than training. I know there are at least a dozen or so residents in Lower Providence who fit the description. How about the rest of you? You don't seem to want to talk about Obama's state of the union address, so how about chiming in here?

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 207 of 207Looking at the names our President goes by - I believe his family has believed in "Open Marriage" for quite a few generations. Swingers is what some people called their sharing of partners. So, why are some reporters so interested in this subject? What is that saying about people in glass houses?? We have one that can verify the fact as to how workable this is? Deeply religious groups seem to think it is OK, but do not wish to discuss it with outsiders - so it should be. Their talent concerning government it seems is right on. So, the basis for a great president does not have to have a clean marriage record or his family values either. Interesting!
Great Column today on our President's State of the Union Address which was supposed to be a calming speech on exactly what has been successfully done in the last year or so with our President's guidance, plus his staff - don't leave them out or his speeches would come to an end, or at least not make sense.
His "Campaign Speech" that was repeated over and over so that we understand what has not been done vs what needs to be done and of course only under his guidance.
With that being noted - how is this TV Coverage being classed in our "Budget"????
A need to know why we spend so much money on a daily basis to hear "what comes into his mind at that point" needs TV Coverage when a weekly l/2 hour "Fireside Chat" would do.
Getting back to "The Accomplished vs I will take full responsibility" speech - I say he is campaigning and this needs to stop taking up our air time. Just the transportation to and from these so important functions should be on his ticket - now ours.
This is one matter that needs to be noted when making the "Full Responsibility Speech" on a daily basis.

Separation of Church and State is written, but some how our present administration does not see what John Kennedy saw when he ran and was President. It means a "division" and what ever you or your neighbor believes, it should never be imposed or written into any law that makes it a law that will divide our citizens when it comes to picking a "Leader"... A person with solid morals that we believe fit our own standard is how I pick a friend and any person running for office.
Who is this Soetero? Is this a name that was used for all unknown citizens when they rquest funds for higher education? The spelling for Mr. Obama (Pres. Obama)does not come close to the above name. So, why was that name used? This family is now looking at the reason our President uses when asked about his birth/education/funding/residents during his whole life. I have but three sites when it comes down to my answers if questioned - what is the hold up??? His wife has no problem. He on the other hand has a very large gap.
Looking at various Newspapers, I found an entry called "Mobile Alert" when checking on the happenings in the Pottstown Mercury Area. Now, that would be great here in Norristown. Is it some where that I have not visited?
Born where Mr. Obama? Well, after reading many comments and his nonreply, I did notice the spelling of the state they have been referring to - Hawai and Hawaii. Good grief has all this commotion come down to how your state was spelled on your Birth Certification of Birth Certificate??
Obama is out campaigning on our dollar and he now has been caught saying something like - I can't help you now, but wait until after I'm elected for my second term - things will change because I will not have to worry about being elected and will have a free do it with out worry for his party or the country-- our country. That is how I read it and heard it... Nothing like an open mike President Obama. We expect and should receive the very best when it comes to wheeling and dealing with other countries and all citizens in this country - that is why we elected you Mr. Obama.
