Now I feel trapped

The role of your local newspaper is to be a watchdog. That's what we do. For some reason the discussion on whether a Trappe councilman still lives in the borough has turned to what business is it of the newspaper or of mine.
This is what we do folks. We also try to clear up misconception.
First, I do not know Mark Marino. I think I met him for the first time the other day, but I certainly don't know him. I do know Mike Marino.
Second, I live in West Norriton, if it really matters at all. I'm not an elected official.
Third, and while I know we haven't done such a great job of it lately, we do cover Trappe. In fact, there was a terrific Collegeville/Trappe Heritage tab in last Saturday's (Oct. 6) paper.
And finally, this isn't so much clearing up a misconception as it is an attempt to put this issue to bed, so to speak. We've done our job. Now it is up to the residents of Trappe.
This is the role of your local newspaper.

Stan:
Thank you for your candor.
You are right, it is up to the residents of Trappe to do something about the issue of Mark Carrig's residency.
He will probably ask for a vote of council and unfortunately the current members would vote 5-1 to ignore the facts.
Everyone knows he doesn't live in Trappe anymore. It appears there are not enough people out there that know this or care.

Thank you for making people notice

Well put Stan. Thanks for bringing this issue to the forefront. Now let's see what Trappe's council does. If anything.

Stan: To not follow the rules/laws of a community will just set the community up for big problems down the road. To say a certain person has been appointed to a position, because they already know the ropes is also setting up the community. Now, if you have met a person at a function (not an affair) does not really mean you know him/her. Just think of the reasons we all wear name tags at functions - it makes it easy to hold a conversation is one reason.

I find new blog site www.pvpa.blogspot.com with comments against you very interesting. At least someone figured out the truth. How can someone be in journalism and not know the Marinos in Montgomery County. That is called journalism 101 know your officials

OK, now I'm commenting on my own posts. This is getting just a little out of hand. Maybe, just maybe, this will clear things up.
First, yes I do moderate this blog. I have to. However, if you'll go back and check out previous posts you'll see I try to use comments from both sides.
Second, did I say I didn't know who the Marinos are? I'll answer that. No, I didn't. I said I didn't 'know' Mark Marino. I know his father quite well. We spoke often when I was a cop reporter. I don't know Mark. I know who he is, anonymous. I took journalism 101. If you would like to test my institutional knowledge, please, feel free.

Go to it Stan!

For once I'm in complete agreement with you regarding both what appears to be the lack of accountabily of the Trappe Officials re residency.

What business is it of mine?

Well, any time any government officials decides to ignore the law, it reflects on all government officials,as well as on the ability of persons who want to follow the law, to obtain the support of others to remain law abidding.

Stan: What is the Marino family connection to the Trappe Boro governing problem? I guess as Anonymous said we need to take LESSION 101 to get the answer. Just kidding...Hope Trappe goes by the way the law is written ... Thanks for keeping on top of this situation...Trappe is a great Boro.

To anonymous writer according to campaign literature I received in May. Mark Marino major developer is Fred Schuetz,Paul Edwards,Matt Watson primary winners major campaign contributor.According to Marino current Borough Council is not developer friendly and it is time for a change. In other of words Marino is looking for a favor now ,more development in Trappe and it starts at the proposed development planned at the old Trappe School.Outside developers do not come involved into a local campaign unless they want something in return. Would you agree?

I heard thru the grapevine your paper was greedy enough to charge the taxpayers of Collegeville and Trappe money to put their Borough officials name in your heritage pull out section. Is this true? You guys will do anything to make a buck.

Stan: Trappe's Anonymous must only listen to the Sour Grape Gossip - because a vine that would carry such idle gossip is or should be dead. Thanks for the articles that only help Trappe/Collegeville know how they are being governed or not.

stan,
Hey, somebody must think we are all stupid. I was on the Craig Marks blog and found his espousing he does not know who is putting signs up in the area with his blog being posted. I have a clue:
He drives a silver acura and currently lives in collegeville. clue #2
He has a rental property in trappe and yells alot.
Of course no one in trappe will figure it out or they just don't care
