No, we didn't charge Collegeville and Trappe to put their listings into our recent Collegeville/Trappe Heritage piece.
No, I don't know Mark Marino. I think I shook his hand for the first time last Monday and said hello to him, but in my book, that doesn't mean I know him.
No, I don't allow every post to go through.

By you not acknowledging the fact your newspaper charged the taxpayers of Collegeville and Trappe $400 for putting their Borough officials name in the Heritage section by this time, I come to the conclusion you are a liar and your newspaper does not care about the taxpayers they care only about their back pockets and writing any trashy articles to sell papers. Why do you not be the editor of the National Inquirer? It is the same as the Times Herald.
Apparently some people don't understand plain English. We did not charge College, or Trappe money to go into the Collegeville/Trappe Heritage section. I'm sure there was a bill in Trappe that was paid to The Times Herald, just like there is for every other municipality that runs a legal notice. Do you understand now? I've received about 15 comments on the blog about this. I'm half tempted to believe they're all from the same person. This is as clear as I can make it and this is the last time I'll comment on the topic.
Beg your pardon. That should have been Collegeville, not College.
What a waste of space between Anonymous's ears. Anger Management Courses are available - sure hope he/she takes advantage of one soon... Trappe and Collegeville really need level heads running their government...You are correct in not responding in kind. Election day will soon be upon us - this should put an end to Anonymous's problems.
Mr. Husky, please ask Trappe Borough Council President, Stew Strauss, why property owners along Main St. in Trappe are being forced by the borough to replace damaged sidewalk at thier own expense when Trappe Borough Council, in 2006, gave up a $350,000 grant which could have paid for the work. Collegeville was given Trappe's grant and using the grant for sidewalk work.

Care to print a retraction after viewing www.pvpa.blogspot.com?

After viewing the invoice that was printed on the "other" bogus website formed by what I believe to be by a current council member to disparage the name of the endorsed candidates (even though the committee persons refuse to endorse them because the candidates that they wanted to endorse didn't win the primary), It appears as if "Mr Marks" would have had to have access to the boroughs Accounts Payable files. That being said, if either of the two employees that work at Borough Hall have never seen this apparition of a blog author, Then i for one would have to say that it appears if some fishy business has been going on..........Is that really such a surprise for the current regime that sits on council ?
To blogger comments on Trappe Council regarding sidewalks on Main Street. I attend quite a few meetings. All members voted for the sidewalks to be repaired including Mr. Watson.Regarding the grant from what I hear that grant covered trees, benches, and lighting
in a two block of Main Street not sidewalks .
If this grant exist please tell the Borough Manager and Council members. If grant money is available why should the taxpayers pay more?
At least some people who have blogs talking about public issues allow comments. Some bloggers dont like having comments, I guess it causes too many issues...like people disagreeing, or maybe too much thought about whether you might be right or not.
And some people should just shut their"keyboard mouths".
Someone who talks so much about Trappe, but doesn't live there, should really mind their manners.
Homeowners on Main St received a notice informing them that they needed to have the sections of their sidewalks that were marked in white, replaced in 30 days, with the homeowner incurring the cost of such replacement. The thought of looking into funding wasn't even thought of until Mr. Fred Schuetz brought the subject up. Mr Schuetz has brought scads of "free money" into the borough of Trappe for many things..... Rambo Park, Main St. Park, Tree plantings, playground equipment, etc. The homeowers on Main St should feel comfortable knowing that Mr. Schuetz will soon be a council member and will honestly and honorably represent the citizens of Trappe.
After following Mr. Will Carltons trail to his blog, it is very apparent to me that he has a bit more of an informed insight into the whole Trappe Borough Council situation than the fictional blog author "Craig Marks" As long as we have people like Mr. Stan Huskey and Will Carlton willing to tell it like it is as opposed to current council members who have to hide behind a blog personality to spew their smear campaigns and made up propaganda, all will be well in the usually cozy little town of Trappe !

Is this the same Fred Schuetz that tried to get Trappe Council to use tax payers money to purchase land from his friends the Wismer for $60000 an acre when the actual property value was $15000 or less. This contract would have been $300000 instead of less $75000 which is the actual property value worth. Thank God Trappe Council wised up and did not go with Fred plan. The residents did not want the trail and it turned out Mrs. Wismer did not want either. This action saved the tax payer money. When Schuetz gets into office hold on to your pocket book. Trappe will go from a surplus to a deficit in a hurry.
As far as the last post that was authored by none other than Mr. Write In Candidate himself, Stuart Strauss (The inefficiency with his grammar and punctuation is unmistakable. Having been on the receiving end of more than a couple of his e-mails, i know)regarding the Wismer Property, the entire council had previously voted to sign an agreement of sale for the property and then four council members, Scholl, Kursick, Strauss, Carrig began to drag their feet as the date drew closer simply because of WHO presented the plan and not the plan itself.
On a completely different note, i have 100% proof of who authors the other bogus blog that visciously attacks any and everyone that is not on board with their warped sense of how a borough is supposed to be run. Rest assured it is exactly who we all thought it was and let's leave it at that...........fair enough Mr. Carrig ?
To blogger who wrote last comment.Who are you?Since Strauss wrote you emails supposely? Was Wismer property worth $60000 or $15000.
Would have the taxpayers been ripped off if they paid to much for the land? Did the property owners next to the trail want it?Did Mrs.Wismer want it?Did Councilman Watson want it or did he missed that meeting also?
Plaese answer above questions.
Stan: Local Elections are very important... The person that did not win, but put up a good fight, should be serenaded as in the 40's. It shows good sportsmanship when you understand the peoples' choice ... and it was not you. Give your support to the winner - good ideas and better government usually works better that way.

Someone from Trappe told me you are changing your last name to Marino. Is that true? He pulls your strings only makes since.
Maybe you can run for office then.
